• In our FCI registered 2 Kennels BOHEMIA HILL and SYRINX BOHEMIA we have 3 sires: Abax (World Winner/4x Champion, 2x Veteran Champion), Air (hunting exams) and Bandiére (World Winner/3x Champion+hunting exams with maximum points) and 2 breed female dogs: California (3x Champion, 2x Juniorchampion) and Hispania (World Winner/3x Champion, Juniorchampion). We also have a promising young male dog Alabastr (2x CAJC, Class Winner) and a young female dog - Bregje (Bijou) -  import from Holland.

Our dogs have traditionally won the top awards on internaitonal dog
shows. Our puppies from litter "A" and "B" can be found in the Czech Republic, the Nederlands, Switzerland, Poland and Germany. So far, the most successful was Brillance Bohemia Hill, who was awarded 1st on BIS: Best Puppy (2x)! In September 2009, aged 11 months, she became the Junior Club Winner as well as the absolute winner of the of Bernese-hound Club exhibition!

Natural conditions

In both of our kennels, breeding dogs are in natural conditions on fresh and healthy air. They have enough movement out and are kept within the family environment, having constant contact with humans. Our kennels are dedicated only to breeding of this breed.

Selection of parents of the puppies

The origin of dogs and their ancestors should be of interest of any future owner, even if he/she buys just a friend and does not plan breeding. The relatedness of parents may relate to the puppy´s health problems: a inbreeding is not visible, but possesses a serious problem. We take seriously genetically-related diseases, seek genetic variability and our breed is strictly based on the principles of breeding in rare population, in particular:

• we consider sufficient distance of the parents
• not repeat the same combination
• we strive to refresh blood

We first and foremost care about health, therefore, we let a maximum of one litter per year. We have one litter at the time and so we can fully pay attention for the entire duration, before they go to new owners.

 About our dogs, we have an overview of two to three generations back and we are not aware of any contingent inherited disease (blood, eye, metabolic defects, epilepsy).

Nutrition Mode

Attaching great importance to nutrition, we feed pellets which do not contain soy, chemical dyes or preservatives and are made from products intended for human consumption. For five years, we have created a special feeding regime. We also provide our dogs with a special nutritional supplements according to the needs and age preventing the developmental problems in joints and with additional sources of calcium at the time of intensive growth and the exchange of milk teeth to permanent, etc.

Veterinary care

Our dogs are cared for by a renowned veterinary clinic; they are tended by the president of the Czech Association of Veterinary Doctors for Small Animals MVDr. Jiří Beránek.

Choice of your puppy

 You must know whether you want a dog or a female dog. If you want an exhibition puppy, please be very careful when choosing the breeder and find out whether he has enough experience with dog exhibitions and breeding with good exhibition preconditions. Make sure the dogs are successful regularly. Such a breeder will recommend you a promising puppy since its success is a matter of his prestige. If you trust you own judgement best, do not hesitate to reserve a choosing order in time!

Equipment

When sent, puppies will have their bags with the food for five days, a pillow with the scent of their mother, a stainless bowl and a leash and  collar. Their new owners will get a bilingual publication about the Bernese Hound, in which they can found some basic information about the breed and our stud. In any case, we can always be contacted by e-mail and by phone, and we are happy to cooperate when a new owner needs our help.

Breeder service

The sales contract and certificate of origin are commonplace. Puppies will be  properly inoculated and dewormed, in accordance with their age. The vet will mark and certify everything accurately in the pet passport. Our puppies are microchipped in according to EU standards.

The price of puppies covers breeders expenses entirely, including the puppy´s documentation and basic equipment.

The actual price is set after the birth of puppies: in addition to the value of pedigree we reflect the quality of the litter.

We do not spare on nutrition or on vaccines and we guarantee the excellence of everything we can affect as breeders. We want the owners to enjoy our puppies as we do.
